A 35-year-old inmate has died after correctional officers found him and another prisoner unresponsive in their James T. Vaughn Correctional Center housing unit, the Delaware Department of Correction said on Thursday. 

Travis M. Jones’ death is being investigated as an apparent overdose, said Paul G. Shavack, the DOC’s Deputy Bureau Chief of Prisons. Jones was serving a prison sentence for causing the 2010 deaths of his girlfriend and two children.
